A Mystery.... Who can solve it?
Hi everybody...
I'm new blogger and i liked this blog a lot coz all the bloggers are cooooool...i've been reading your posts since i new this blog and i tried to create my own blog, but it takes me a lot of time to create it...Don't ask me why!!
OK... i have a mystery that i'd like to share it with you and i hope you solve it coz i really don't know the solution and it drives me crazy...
here it is...
* Fahad/Hamad/Saad/Raad
*doctor/engineer/journalist/lawyer.
NOTE: they are not in order.
1- Hamad and the lawyer have never seen Fahad before.
2- Saad and the journalist are friends.
3- Fahad and the engineer live at the same area.
4- The doctor treated Raad and the journalist before.
WHAT IS THE OCCUPATION OF EACH PERSON?
I'm waiting for your solutions....

Hi, Fantasia, I just want to welcome you to the blogging world... As for the solution to this mistery... I cannot promise antything, it just brings back bad memories! I tried to solve some 'misteries' a few years ago, it was a high school assingnment, oh, my poor brain! I did it, but I could not get over the logical stuff driving me crazy!!! So, I will try tonight, maybe I come back with the solution later :)

Well, here's a possibility:
Hamad: Engineer
Fahad: Journalist
Saad: Doctor
Raad: Lawyer

I don't have time to figure out the answer but this might help:
The first sentence tells you that Hamad and Fahad are not the lawyers.
The second tells you that Saad isn't a journalist.
The third tells you that Fahad isn't an engineer.
The fourth tells you that Raad isn't either a doc or a journalist.
So now we know that Fahad is niether lawyer or engineer as well.
Now we need to figure out who knows who:
Hamad and Lawyer don't see Fahad.
Saad sees Journalist.
Fahad sees Engineer.
Doc sees Raad and Journalist.
Hamad isn't an engineer because Fahad would've seen him.
Now it gets confusing because if Fahad is a doctor, he would cure hamad the journalist (who he's not supposed to see!) If he were a journalist, Hamad would have to be a doctor, which is wrong again! :/
Q8sultana would be right if the third sentence meant that Fahad and the engineer are actually one person.
